Residential customers are required to make the following deposits:
These deposits will be held by the city until the account is terminated.

Commercial deposits are two times the average monthly utility bill for that location. These deposits can be secured with cash, a letter of credit, or a surety bond. Email the Customer Care Center to obtain further deposit requirements for commercial customers.

The following credit cards may be used to provide the required service deposit:

- Debit cards
With the exception of weekends and holidays, new service can normally be initiated within 24 hours of receipt of a signed service application and satisfaction of the deposit requirement.
