On May 2, 2023, Mayor Tony Paulk proclaimed May as Older Americans Month in Douglas and Coffee County. Older Americans Month provides recognition to older Americans for their contributions and sacrifices to ensure a better life for future generations. Mayor Paulk urges every resident to take time this month to recognize older adults and the people who serve and support them as powerful and vital individuals who greatly contribute to the community.
