Notice is hereby given that the ordinance herein captioned will be read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia, held on November 27th, 2023, at 6:00 P.M., at the City Hall Council Room, 302 S. Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia.
“AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY OF DOUGLAS CODES AND ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 4, SECTION 4-1 DEFINITIONS AND SECTION 4-16, SALES IN TOWN CENTER DISTRICT; TO PROVIDE FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES”
This proposed ordinance amendment to allow grocery stores in the town center to sell alcohol will be read for the second time followed by a public hearing on Monday, December 11th, 2023, at 6 PM at the City Hall Council Room, located at 302 S. Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia. After the public hearing, the ordinance will be voted upon at the regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia. Anyone interested in said ordinance should be in appearance at the said meeting on the above-stated dates.
