Notice is hereby given that the ordinance herein captioned will be read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia, held on November 27th, 2023, at 6:00 P.M., at the City Hall Council Room, 302 S. Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia.
This proposed ordinance amendment will allow penalties for ULDC violations; require renters to obtain landowner permission to allow accessory structures/storage buildings and accessory structures/dwellings on a single lot of property; provide limits or restrictions from landlords on the number of accessory structures/storage buildings and accessory structures/dwellings on a single lot of property; and require a permit for accessory structures/storage buildings/dwellings on a single lot of property will be read for the second time followed by a Public Hearing on Monday, December 11th, 2023, at 6 PM at the City Hall Council Room, located at 302 S. Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia. After the public hearing, the ordinance will be voted upon at the regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia. Anyone interested in said ordinance should be in appearance at the said meeting on the above-stated dates.
