PARK IS OPEN!
The park and playground is open although Hurricane Helene recovery and rebuilding continue to take place. There is no group shelter at the current time and it is suggested that if you are going to be in the park for a long amount of time, you may wish to bring a pop-up tent or some shelter to protect you or children from the sun. Wheeler Park has limited amenities (at the current time). Restrooms, walking trail, playground equipment (swings, monkey bars, and other playground items), ballfield, and pickle ball/tennis courts are all open.
Please be patient and understanding as we continue to maneuver through a safe recovery for all our parks and recreation facilities.
