Due to the intense cold weather for our area, the City of Douglas opened a warming center on Friday, Dec. 23, 2022. As of 12/14/2022, 11:52AM, The warming center has been moved to the Douglas Police Department lobby area. The Douglas Police Department is located at 225 W. Bryan Street. Please remain vigilant in protecting people, pets, pipes, and plants from the cold weather over the next several days. If someone should see a person in need of utilizing the warming station, please contact the non-emergency 9-1-1 number at 912-384-7675 and give the location of the person.
