Due to the extreme cold temperatures, rain, sleet, and possibly snow forecast for our area for the next few days, the City of Douglas and the Area Office of the Georgia Department of Transportation is requesting that all sprinkler systems be turned off on state routes and city streets until the temperatures rise above freezing.
This request is made to help reduce any hazardous conditions that may arise on public roadways created by sprinkler systems that are left on if the temperatures remain below freezing.
