Notice is given that Aldi Inc. Georgia, d.b.a. Aldi Inc., a grocery store located at 901 Ward St. W in Douglas, Georgia 31533, has applied for an off-site consumption/ retail license to sell beer & wine products. The business is owned by Aldi Inc. Georgia of Batavia, IL. The corporate officers are: Philip Beattie, of Sugar Grove, Illinois, owner and Torrey Mack, of Valdosta, Georgia, Manager.

The application will be considered, and a public hearing will be held by the City Commission during the regular meeting on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 6 PM at City Hall, located at 302 S Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533. 

After the public hearing, the ordinance will be voted upon at the regular meeting of the Mayor and City Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia. Anyone interested in said ordinance should be present at the said meeting on the above-stated dates.
