Notice is hereby given that the ordinance herein captioned was read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia, held August 16, 2021.
“AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DOUGLAS, GEORGIA, TO DESIGNATE AN ENTERPRISE ZONE; TO PROVIDE FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”
This ordinance will allow a portion of the Urban Redevelopment Plan Area to be adopted as a designated Enterprise Zone and will allow the City Council to grant incentives to qualifying businesses or qualifying service enterprises in accordance with the authorization granted to local governments in the administration of an Enterprise Zone by the Enterprise Zone Employment Act.
This ordinance will be read for the second time and voted upon at a Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia on September 13, 2021, at C.E. Weir Senior Citizens Center, located at 307 E. Bryan St, Douglas Georgia, and anyone interested in said ordinance should be in appearance at said meeting to be held at 7:00 P.M. on the above stated date.
