As recommended by the Historic Preservation Committee, the City of Douglas would like to designate the area known as the Gaskin Avenue Historic District, as a local historic district. The City Commission will hold the readings and a public hearing for this recommendation at the C.E. Weir Center, 307 Bryan Street Douglas, GA 31533.
The first (1st) reading of the designation will be go before the City Commission on Monday, July 25, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. The second (2nd) reading and public hearing for the designation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, at 6:00 pm.
