On Monday, July 16, 2012, the Utility Customer Service Department at City Hall will be closed to the public due to a software conversion implementation. Customers will be able to enter City Hall; however, tellers will be unavailable to assist customers. To compensate for this inconvenience to customers within Ward 2 and 3, a due date adjustment will be made on July bills. Utility customers in these two wards should pay close attention to due dates on their utility bill for the month of July. Ward 2 utility bills that are normally due on the 6th of the month will be due on July 10, 2012. Ward 3 utility bills normally due on the 16th of the month, will be due on July 17, 2012. After July, Wards 2 and 3 will resume their normal due dates of the 6th and 16th, respectively. Wards 1 and 4 dates will not be affected by this closure.
Customers can expect for the online system to be down for at least two weeks, from July 15, 2012 through July 27, 2012. Once the system is up and running, customers will need to register with the new system, as their old username and password will not work. Until the new system is online, customers will need to take traditional measures to pay their utility bills by mail, by phone or at City Hall.
Please contact the Customer Service Department at (912) 389-3499 for any utility billing questions.
