PUBLIC NOTICE: To Amend the City of Douglas Code of Ordinance to allow the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) to act as the Design Review Committee for any Historic Overlay Districts
Notice is hereby given that the ordinance herein captioned has been read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia, on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 6:00 PM at the CE Weir Center, located at 307 E. Bryan Street, Douglas, Georgia.
“AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY OF DOUGLAS CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 111, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, SECTION 111-478, DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE; TO PROVIDE FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND OTHER PURPOSE”
This ordinance will be read for the second time followed by a public hearing on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 6 PM at the CE Weir Center, located at 307 E. Bryan Street, Douglas, Georgia. After the public hearing, the ordinance will be voted upon at the regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia. Anyone interested in said ordinance should be in appearance at the said meeting on the above-stated dates.
Based on the completion of construction at the new City Hall, the location for any regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Commission may change to 302 S. Madison Avenue.
