On Monday, February 13, 2023, the City of Douglas Mayor and Board of Commissioners voted (3 yes, 2 no, 1 abstained) to relinquish rights to operate the PEG channel, WDTV-13. Effective immediately on March 31, 2023, Channel 13 will no longer run on cable television programming.
While the city is decommissioning Channel 13, citizens will still be informed on city services, programs and promotions through Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, The Douglas Enterprise, DouglasNow.com, regional news media, local radio, email, and the city’s website. Additionally, citizens will be able to view City Commission meetings and Youth Council meetings live on Facebook and YouTube.
