Heritage Station Museum will join with other Georgia Museums to celebrate Smithsonian Day on September 29, 2012 from 10am – 2pm. The museum will offer free admission for all visitors to have a chance to view exhibits and visitors will receive 10% off gift shop items excluding consignment artwork.
“We hope that by celebrating Smithsonian Day, we will see an increase in visitors at the museum,” says Georgia Henderson Central Services Director. “Our museum has a lot to offer visitors including local history, railroad history, and local souvenirs.”
Heritage Station Museum is located at 219 W. Ward Street and is also known as the Douglas Welcome Center. Hours of operation to the public are Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm.
