[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC NOTICE: Certificate of Appropriateness for 419 East Ashley Street

The Historic Preservation Commission of Douglas has received a Certificate of Appropriateness seeking demolition of 419 E. Ashley Street. Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held to review the submitted COA by the Historic Preservation Commission at their regular meeting on March 28, 2024, at 4:00 PM.

The outcome of the Historic Preservation Commission’s recommendation(s) will go before the Mayor and City Commission on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 6:00 PM. All meetings will be held in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 302 S. Madison Ave., Douglas, GA 31533.

The application can be reviewed at the City of Douglas Community Development Department, Planning Division, 302 S. Madison Ave., Douglas, GA 31533, between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (EST), Monday through Friday. Requests for reviews of the application may be made until April 8, 2024.

Anyone interested in or having any comments, queries, or concerns regarding this location should be in attendance at any of the meetings and/or the public hearing on the above-stated dates.
