The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) of Douglas has received two (2) Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) applications. One (1) seeks to demolish the vacant building located at 904 North Madison Avenue. The second (2nd) seeks to add onto the existing building for 908 North Madison Avenue.
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held to review the submitted COA’s by the HPC at their monthly meeting on January 23, 2025, 4:00 p.m. at City Hall, located at 302 S. Madison Ave., Douglas, GA 31533.
The application can be reviewed at the City of Douglas Community Development Department, Planning & Zoning Division, 302 S. Madison Ave., Douglas, GA 31533, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (EST), Monday through Friday. Upcoming holiday closures are December 24 & 25, 2024, and January 1 & 20, 2025. Requests for reviews of the application may be made until January 23, 2025, by 4:00 PM.
