[ARCHIVED] Request For Qualifications: For FAA, GDOT, & City Funded Airport Projects

The City of Douglas is soliciting qualifications from qualified, experienced, and GDOT pre-qualified firms to provide Airport Design – Construction Administration and Inspection Services (Area Class 2.09a); Airport Design – Lighting and Electrical (Area Class 2.09a);  Airport Master Planning (Area Class 1.08); and Construction, Engineering, and Inspection Services (Area Class 8.02)  for projects funded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), and/or the City of Douglas at the Douglas Municipal Airport.

The City intends to establish a multi-year, on-call agreement with the selected consultant (s) for a five-year period, with services to be assigned on an as-needed basis in accordance with FAA AC 150/5100-14E, GDOT requirements, and applicable federal and state laws. 

Separate sealed Statements of Qualifications will be received to provide these services for the Douglas Municipal - Gene Chambers Airport. Proposals should be addressed to Mrs. Wynetta Bolder, City Clerk, and either mailed or delivered to 302 S. Madison Avenue, Douglas, GA 31533 until Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at 2:00 PM

All RFQ envelopes for each project should be plainly marked with the project name: 

  1. RFQ #66812-26-0002 - AIRPORT DESIGN – CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION AND INSPECTION SERVICES (AREA CLASS 2.09a); 
  2. RFQ #66812-26-0003 AIRPORT DESIGN – LIGHTING AND ELECTRICAL (AREA CLASS 2.09A);
  3. RFQ #66812-26-0001 AIRPORT MASTER PLANNING (AREA CLASS 1.08);
  4. RFQ #66812-26-0004 CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING & INSPECTION (CEI) SERVICES (AREA CLASS 8.02)

For technical questions or to schedule a site visit, contact Mr. Chris Davis, Airport Manager, via email at cdavis2@cityofdouglasga.gov until Thursday, July 24th, 2025, @ 5:00 PM.  All site visits must be scheduled and completed no later than Thursday, July 24th, 2025.
