Registration has begun for the 51st Annual Festival of Lights Christmas Parade and will end at 5pm on Friday, December 5, 2014. The parade theme is “Twas the Night before Christmas.” The Annual Festival of Lights Parade will light up Peterson Avenue at 6:30pm and make its way from the Courthouse to the Career Academy.
“We chose a theme this year in hopes to see all the different ways people may envision and celebrate the night before Christmas,” says Georgia Henderson, Public Information Director. “Entries can build floats based upon the night before the birth of Christ, or, they can build floats based on the beloved poem.”
Registration forms and rules can be picked up at the Public Information Department office located at the Visitor Information Center, 211 S. Gaskin Avenue.
