[ARCHIVED] COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS VEHICLE LUNCH & LEARN WILL BE HELD MARCH 18, 2015

The City of Douglas Natural Gas Department, along the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia, will host Douglas’ first Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle Lunch & Learn. The Lunch & Learn will be held March 18, 2015 at Central Square Complex located in downtown Douglas. The program will begin at 11:00am and will consist of general discussion on topics relating to compressed natural gas as an alternative fuel. The panel will include Rodney Dill, Director of Member Services and Communication with the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia; Don Francis, the Executive Director of the Partnership for Clean Transportation, Clean Cities-Georgia; Ken Hyde, President and Owner of Phoenix Energy Corporation; Don Collins, Government Contract Manager with Waste Industries, Ron Lewis of Lewis Construction Company; and Michael Hudson the City of Douglas Natural Gas Department Director. Exhibitors from Phoenix Energy Corporation and ANGI Energy Systems, LLC will be available to offer information about their companies and what they can offer cities who are interested in construction of their own CNG facility. A tour of the Douglas’ CNG facility is also scheduled for that afternoon.

The purpose of the Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle Lunch & Learn is to educate and present an opportunity to learn the best approaches and solutions to using natural gas as an alternative fuel. This event will feature strategies for both automotive and commercial vehicles from key operators, driving the industry forward.
