The City of Douglas has been notified by Georgia DOT that Iron Road will remain closed indefinitely to through traffic from Douglas Bypass to Mingledorf Drive. The road closure will be required to construct new bridge crossing the railroad and Iron Road. As soon as the necessary construction is complete, citizens will be notified.
