The exhibit will showcase local musicians, vocalists, producers, groups, and more information relating to Douglas locals that are, or have been, in the music industry. Items would be “on loan” to the Museum and would be returned to owners at the end of June.
“We have a lot of talented musicians who were born in Douglas or have lived in Douglas,” says Georgia Henderson, Central Services Director. “A few of the musicians that come to mind are James Brown, Moe Tucker, Greg Holland, and Jennifer Nettles. We need community support to find memorabilia that we can build into a temporary exhibit to represent the musical talent we have in Douglas.”
If you have information to share on local musicians or local people that are making great strides toward a path in the music industry, please contact the Central Services Department at (912) 383-0277 or Heritage Station Museum at (912) 389-3461.
