The fourth of July is fast approaching and Douglas Exchange Club volunteers are busy preparing for this year’s Freedom Fest Celebration. Food vendors of all types will be on the grounds as well as live entertainment that will include gospel and contemporary music. After dark, spectators can see the sky light up with one of the best fireworks displays in South Georgia takes place.
“Every year, we see families and friends come out to enjoy Freedom Fest activities,” says Dominic LaRiccia, the celebration chairman. “We have been busy planning the vendor layout and lining up entertainment to make sure everyone will enjoy the Freedom Fest Celebration.”
The 2011 Freedom Fest celebration will take place on Monday, July 4th at JC Adams Municipal Park. The gates will open at 5 p.m. Admission and parking are free. There will be live entertainment, food vendors, and fireworks after dark. The Exchange Club is currently accepting vendors of all kinds.
