Douglas’s Fire Department is teaming up with NFPA during Fire Prevention Week, October 7-13, 2012, to urge residents to “Have Two Ways Out!” This year’s theme focuses on the importance of fire escape planning and practice. There will be fire education programs offered for teens, a poster contest for third grade students, elementary schools (grades 1-3) will be able to schedule tours of the fire department, and fire prevention presentations in the schools, businesses, daycares and other places of business.
