[ARCHIVED] Public Notice - Planning Commission Meeting and Public Hearings To Review ULDC Text Amendments

Notice is hereby given that the amendments herein captioned will be reviewed and read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia, on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 6:00 PM at City Hall, located at 302 S Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533. The Douglas-Coffee County Planning Commission will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, June 15, 2023, 6PM, at City Hall, located at 302 S. Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia.

The following is the text amendment to be reviewed:

“#1  Article V. – Development Standards; Section 111-129 – Area, setback, and height requirements. Modify Zoning District G-C General Commercial Maximum Impervious Lot Coverage (%), with the following: 80%”

This amendment will be read for the second time followed by a public hearing on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 6 PM at City Hall, located at 302 S Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533.  After the public hearing, the ordinance will be voted upon at the regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia.  Anyone interested in said ordinance should be in appearance at the said meeting on the above-stated dates.

A copy of the text amendment file may be reviewed at City Hall in the Community Development Department, Planning Division, 302 S Madison Avenue Douglas, GA 31533, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Holiday hours may differ.  This viewing may take place between June 12, 2023 through July 10, 2023.
