[ARCHIVED] Public Notice: Distance Variance Applications by Local Pharmacy To Dispense Low THC Oil to Patients

The City of Douglas has received requests for distance variances from three local pharmacies to dispense Low THC Oil (medical cannabis) and products to Registered Patients. The locations of the pharmacies making the request are 1002 W. Ward Street, 225 W. Ashley Street, Douglas, Georgia 31533, and 722 Shirley Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533. 

The Coffee County Planning Commission will discuss consideration of these distance variances during a regular meeting on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Commission Chambers, located at 302 S Madison Avenue Douglas, GA 31533. After consideration by the Planning Commission, this distance variance request, along with a Public Hearing, will be made before the City of Douglas Mayor and Commission for consideration and approval or denial, during the regular City Commission Meeting, on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 6:00 PM at City Hall, located at 302 S. Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533. 

Anyone interested or has feedback in regards to these applications for distance variances should attend the City Commission Meeting on November 13, 2023. A copy of the distance variance application may be reviewed beginning now through Monday, November 13, 2023, by 5:00 p.m. The application is on file at the City of Douglas Community Development Department, Planning Division, located at 302 S. Madison Avenue, Douglas, GA 31533, inside City Hall. City of Douglas offices will be closed on November 10, 2023, for Veterans Day.
