The City of Douglas has received an application to rezone three (3) separate parcels totaling 1.55 acres (0.50, 0.58, 0.47), from Residential (R-15), to Gateway (G-W). The parcels are located off of Rose Lane & State Route 32.
The Douglas-Coffee County Planning Commission has received an application to rezone three (3) separate parcels totaling 1.55 acres (0.50, 0.58, 0.47), from Residential (R-15), to Gateway (G-W). The parcels are located off of Rose Lane & State Route 32. The applicant wishes to rezone to G-W to have synonymous zoning for all contiguous properties owned and to operate businesses permitted in such zone. The Planning Commission will conduct a phone poll regarding this request on March 26, 2024. The outcome of the Planning Commission’s recommendation(s) will go before the Mayor & City Commission.
The Mayor & City Commission will hold the (1st) reading for this request on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. and the (2nd) reading and public hearing will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 6:00 pm. All meetings will be held at City Hall, 302 S Madison Avenue Douglas, GA 31533.
A copy of the rezoning application may be reviewed at the City of Douglas Community Development Department, Planning Division, 302 S Madison Avenue Douglas, GA 31533, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Holiday hours may differ. This viewing may take place until March 25, 2024.
