The City of Douglas is excited to announce that it will host two open house events in June to showcase the renovated Barracks #5 at Airport Circle on the historic World War II Army-Air Force Flight Training Air Base. These open houses are scheduled for June 5 (9 AM-1 PM), and June 28 (1 PM-4 PM). Barracks #5 played a significant role in the Air Base's history as it provided housing for the cadets who trained at the base from 1941 to 1945 before transferring to other bases to continue their flight training.
