[ARCHIVED] Hope for Coffee Initiative Continues to Accept Community Assessments

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene’s devastation, Hope for Coffee, a faith-based partnership with local churches, organizations, and advocates of Coffee County, was formed to provide vital relief and long-term support to Coffee County residents. The initiative created an assessment in order to identify the household needs of Coffee County relating to Hurricane Helene recovery.

Every resident is urged to take part—either by filling out the assessment form or helping others complete it. In order to continue to recognize the needs in Coffee County, the assessment deadline will be extended past November 1, 2024.  Assessments will continue to be received after November 1, 2024 in the following ways:

  • By picking up an assessment at Ambrose City Hall, Broxton City Hall, Douglas City Hall or Nicholls City Hall and return it to that city hall.
  • Download the form at cityofdouglasga.gov/hopeforcoffee and return it to any of the City Halls in Coffee County listed above.
  • Complete and submit an online assessment at https://forms.gle/rsmsBamG43rqEu2V6 (English) or https://forms.gle/bWT57m9bFCYukkJ16 (Spanish).
  • WEST GREEN residents only – door-to-door assessments will continue to be distributed and collected.
  • A Call Center has been established to assist people who lack internet accessibility or have questions. The call center phone numbers are (912) 393-3601, (912) 592-7910, (912) 381-7931, or (912) 345-3060.

Hope for Coffee would like to thank each person who has submitted their form and ask everyone to remember that community support is crucial for Coffee County's recovery from Hurricane Helene.
