Contractors working with CSX railroad have released a closure date for the Peterson Avenue railroad crossing in Douglas. Railroad maintenance and an emergency track repair will begin on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, and should be completed by Thursday, November 21, 2024. Due to the magnitude of the job, this closure will result in motorists detouring around the tracks located on South Peterson Avenue.
