Notice is hereby given that the below ordinances regarding Broadband, Short-Term Vacation Rentals, and Cottage Food Requirements, herein captioned will be read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Mayor and City Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia, on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 6 PM at City Hall, located at 302 South Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia.

“AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH REGULATIONS FOR SHORT-TERM AND VACATION RENTALS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF DOUGLAS, GEORGIA; TO PROVIDE FOR LICENSING, INSPECTIONS, AND ENFORCEMENT; TO PROMOTE THE HEALTH, SAFETY, AND WELFARE OF RESIDENTS AND VISITORS”

The above-proposed ordinances will be read for the second time, followed by a public hearing on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 6 PM at City Hall, located at 302 S Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533. After the public hearing, the ordinance will be voted upon at the regular meeting of the Mayor and City Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia. Anyone interested in said ordinance should be in attendance at the said meeting on the above-stated dates.
A copy of the proposed ordinances may be reviewed through May 12, 2025, 5:00 PM at City Hall in the Community Development Department, Planning & Zoning Division, 302 S Madison Avenue, Douglas, GA 31533, Monday through Friday. Holiday hours may differ.
