Notice is hereby given that the proposed new ordinance for the Code of Ordinances of the City of Douglas regarding Electric Vehicle (EV) charging facilities, equipment, and structures captioned below will be read for the first time at a regular meeting of the Mayor and City Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia, on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 6 PM at City Hall, located at 302 South Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia.

“AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE OF THE CITY OF DOUGLAS, GEORGIA, TO DESIGNATE A NEW ORDINANCE FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) CHARGING FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, AND STRUCTURES; TO REPEAL ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND FOR EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.”

The Planning Commission will have a regular meeting regarding this new ordinance for the Code of Ordinances of the City of Douglas regarding Electric Vehicle (EV) charging facilities, equipment, and structures on September 22, 2025, at 10 AM at City Hall, located at 302 South Madison Avenue Douglas, GA 31533. 

The new ordinance for the Code of Ordinances of the City of Douglas regarding Electric Vehicle (EV) charging facilities, equipment, and structures will be read for the second time, and a public hearing will be held at a regular meeting of the Mayor and City Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia, on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 6 PM at City Hall, located at 302 South Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia. 

Anyone interested in or has feedback regarding the proposed ordinance should be in attendance at the said meetings on the above-stated dates. A copy of the proposed ordinance may be reviewed at City Hall in the Community Development Department, Planning Division, 302 S Madison Avenue, Douglas, GA 31533, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Holiday hours may differ. The review may take place between now through September 22, 2025, by 5:00 p.m.
