[ARCHIVED] PLANS ARE UNDERWAY TO FORM THE COFFEE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Plans are underway to form the Coffee County Historical Society that will assist with programming at Heritage Station Museum and assist with community projects relating to preserving local history. Heritage Station Museum is seeking volunteers who are willing to serve as a member of the Historical Society and are able to be working participants for various history related projects in the community.

“Since the Museum opened in 1999, there has been a need for persons with a passion for history and who are eager to assist with programming and preservation of our history at the Museum,” says Lydia Lott, Interim Chairperson. “However, we also need volunteers to help with keeping the Heritage Station Museum open, to organize programs, as well as assist with historical preservation and history related areas in our community as well.”

Persons interested in becoming a member of the Historical Society or for more information, please contact Lydia Lott at 912-384-4667 or email lydialott2004@yahoo.com.
