[ARCHIVED] VENDORS SOUGHT FOR SUMMER BEACH BASH

Get ready to COOL off this summer with the Annual Summer Beach Bash on June 3, 2014! The Beach Bash will be held from 4pm – 9pm in the vacant lot adjacent to City Hall on 441S in downtown Douglas. With activities planned for all ages, this is sure to be the best Beach Party - away from the beach!

“With the addition of adult activities, we are hoping to attract more visitors to the downtown area,” says Pattie Merritt, Main Street Coordinator. “We are looking for food and general vendors as well as sponsors that will help to make this event successful.”

Outdoor spaces are available for vendors with items relating to food, novelty, inflatables, and more specialty merchandise. Kid activities will include large waterslides, Treasure Island sand pit, bouncy house, face painting, watermelon eating contest, and a Sandcastle Building Contest. Does it sound like the kids have all the fun? Don’t worry, we have adult activities too that will include a Battle of the Sexes, Hoola Hoopin’, Street Dance with a DJ, and more!

If you are interested in becoming a vendor or sponsor of the Summer Beach Bash, please contact Pattie Merritt at (912)384-5161 or visit www.cityofdouglas.com/BeachBash.
