W. L. “Pops” Rogers started Rogers Studio in 1908 on Peterson Avenue. The studio was operated by “Pops” and his son “Bubba” until operation of the studio was taken over by Bubba’s daughter, Nancy and her husband, Glenn Clower. The studio was moved to 219 E. Jackson Street and renamed Glenn Clower Photography. After 71 years in operation, the studio was closed in 1979. Currently, Glenn’s son, Hal Clower, owns C & C Photography located in Perry, Georgia.
Everyone is invited to attend the reception and visit with Rogers Studio’s/C & C Photography family members and show their appreciation for the photographs of early Douglas. For more information, please call the Coffee County Historical Society at 912-389-3461.
