[ARCHIVED] DOUGLAS MAYOR PRO TEM PEARSON ELECTED TO GMA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

SAVANNAH – Douglas Mayor Pro Tem Olivia Pearson was elected to the Board of Directors for the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) during the association’s annual meeting in Savannah June 27.

Pearson will serve as President of GMA’s 11th District. The district includes cities in the following counties: Ben Hill, Coffee, Bacon, Pierce, Brantley, Charlton, Clinch, Echols, Lowndes, Brooks, Lanier, Cook, Berrien, Atkinson, Irwin, Tift and Turner.

District presidents are first elected by members of the district to serve as 3rd VP within the district and move up each year after that.

Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and technical assistance services to its 520 member cities.
